This Privacy Policy applies to OtoBridge Rounds version 1.0.0, Android package org.advancedtrainingforentinafrica.otobridgerounds, under the developer identity Advanced Training for ENT in Africa. Effective 31 July 2026; policy version 1.0.
2. Educational purpose
The app supports general adult professional learning, teaching preparation, mentorship reflection, evidence literacy, equipment-stewardship discussion, and program continuity. It is not a patient service.
3. Medical-device and clinical-use disclaimer
OtoBridge Rounds is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It is not a clinical protocol, certification program, emergency service, or substitute for qualified supervision, current local policy, manufacturer instructions, or professional medical judgment. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not rely on this app for active patient-care decisions.
4. Intended adult professional audience
The app is intended for adults such as clinicians, supervised trainees, educators, program coordinators, and technical-support personnel. It is not directed to children and has no child-facing feature.
5. Data the app does not collect
The app does not collect names, email addresses, account details, advertising identifiers, location, contacts, files, photographs, audio, health information, patient information, payment information, usage analytics, diagnostics, or crash telemetry.
6. On-device progress and settings
Explored-round identifiers, selected learning arc, checklist states, first-launch acknowledgement, and Reduce Motion preference are stored only in Android private app storage. They are not transmitted to the developer or another party.
7. No patient or confidential data
The app has no field for patient or case data. Do not enter patient names, images, recordings, identifiers, records, research information, staff information, or confidential institutional content.
8. Permissions
This release requests no Internet, camera, microphone, location, Bluetooth, sensor, contacts, calendar, SMS, storage, notification, Health Connect, or advertising-ID permission.
9. Network behavior and external browser links
OtoBridge Rounds itself does not make network requests. When a user chooses an external source, Android may open a separate browser after confirmation. The browser and destination control their own network activity, cookies, logging, and privacy practices. OtoBridge Rounds does not append identifiers or app state to source URLs.
10. Third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising, and tracking
The release contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, social, account, remote-configuration, payment, crash-reporting, or health-data SDK. Standard Android support libraries provide local interface functionality.
12. Retention
Local preferences remain until the user erases them inside Privacy & Medical Limits, clears Android app storage, or uninstalls. The developer has no server copy.
13. Deletion
Use Erase all local app state, Android Clear Storage, or uninstall. There is no account to delete and no remote deletion request is necessary.
14. Backup and device transfer
Android backup and device transfer are disabled for the app. The design does not intentionally move local state to another device.
15. Security practices and limitations
Local state uses Android private app storage and is not intended to contain patient or identity data. No software can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect and update their device and avoid sharing sensitive information through external apps.
16. Children and minors
OtoBridge Rounds is not directed to children, does not knowingly collect information from anyone, and must not store information about a child. Pediatric safeguarding appears only as adult professional-learning content.
17. Medical sources, geography, updates, and policy changes
Clinical laws, resources, professional scopes, and protocols vary by country and facility. Users must verify current authoritative sources and local applicability. Substantive app or policy changes will receive an updated effective date and version. Connected, patient-specific, diagnostic, or clinical-decision features would require a new assessment before release.
18. Privacy contact
Privacy inquiries may be sent to the public organization-linked address gaylewoodson.md@gmail.com or through the official ATENTA contact form. Do not include patient, child, health, learner, staff, research, or confidential information.
